This exhibition features Ukiyoe paintings of cats by Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Tsukioka Yoshitoshi, and other Ukiyoe artists.<\/p>\n<p>They are represented in all forms, from anthropomorphic cats that dance and go to school, to haunted cats, and even as a bill to ward off rats.<\/p>\n<p>In the first half of the exhibition, five works from Kuniyoshi&#8217;s &#8220;Neko no touji&#8221; series, in which cats are used to represent letters, will be on display, and in the second half, the valuable masterpiece &#8220;Komaa jiguchi neko kawaii 53 biki,&#8221; which depicts a variety of cat figures.
