Katsushika Hokusai&#8217;s last large-format nishiki-e series, &#8220;Hyakunin Isshu Nyumo Kaetoki (One Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets),&#8221; was published with 27 illustrations, the main purpose of which was to illustrate the poems and their contents. Each of these works expresses Hokusai&#8217;s unique worldview by incorporating his own ideas into the general images of poems and poets.
