This year&#8217;s festival is scheduled for four days from Thursday, September 15 to Sunday, September 18.<br \/>\nDuring the Yoimiya procession on Friday the 16th, the Hikawa float &#8220;Ooninitate&#8221; will be paraded in the evening. It will be illuminated against the backdrop of the gorgeous office buildings in Akasaka, just like an Edo-style festival picture scroll.<br \/>\nOn Sunday the 18th, the &#8220;Shinko Matsuri&#8221; will be led by a procession of Shinto shrines, and a large, eight-meter, three-tiered float, &#8220;Nippon Buson&#8221; and &#8220;Oninin Tachi&#8221; will make a grand parade through the Akasaka and Roppongi areas. To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the portable shrine will be carried on a special cart instead of being carried aloud.
