Because of its ideal location for stopping by on the way to view cherry blossoms, the museum will hold its annual spring event, &#8220;Spring Festival at the Museum,&#8221; again this year.<\/p>\n<p>In the &#8220;MOMAT Collection&#8221; (March 17 (Fri.) to May 14 (Sun.)), about 30 spring-like works, mostly folding screens, are exhibited in one room, including &#8220;Flower Evening&#8221; by Tamaki Funada with its vivid pink petals and &#8220;Cherry Blossom Screens&#8221; by Tamae Atomi, who specialized in cherry blossom paintings.<\/p>\n<p>Other events include the &#8220;Spring Festival Online Talk Rally&#8221; (*reservation required, free of charge), in which visitors can view spring-related artworks online, and the &#8220;Collection Guide,&#8221; in which guided tours of about three works from the collection selected by the museum&#8217;s staff are followed by dialogue.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, a resting area will be set up in the front garden with a stool stand, and the restaurant &#8220;Ra e Mikuni&#8221; will sell special food and drinks for takeout. The museum store will also offer ticket files, masking tapes, and other original spring-like goods.
