The event is organized by Sumida Cut Club, a volunteer group that has been planning, organizing, and managing community revitalization events along Sumitsutsumidori since the 1980s. (The event was originally held at Higashi-Shirahige Park, but due to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government&#8217;s self-restraint in Corona, the event could not be held there, so it has been held along the Sumida River since last year.)<br \/>\nAlong the Sumida River is the historic Ishihama Shrine, which has been in existence for nearly 1,300 years. The teahouse on the shrine grounds, which was depicted in ukiyoe prints during the Edo period, will be reborn in 2020 as Ishihama Saryo Raku, an old private house cafe where you can take a breather.
