With over 120 years of history, it is a Western-style restaurant and confectionery shop standing on Ginza\u2019s main street. The current Tokyo Ginza Shiseido Building was completed in 2001 and designed by Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, and its refined exterior stands out prominently in the Ginza cityscape.<\/p>\n\n

The first-floor shop offers sparkling Western sweets, including the famous Hanatsubaki Biscuits and cheesecakes. Many customers buy them not only for home use but also as gifts, especially the Ginza Main Store exclusive items, which are popular as Tokyo souvenirs.<\/p>\n\n

The third floor is the Salon de Caf\u00e9, where you can enjoy light meals such as cakes, parfaits, and sandwiches. The red walls and pink interior create a special atmosphere. It is always lively with people stopping by during shopping, or relaxing after work since alcohol is also available.<\/p>\n\n

It opened in 1902 inside the Shiseido Pharmacy in Izumomachi 1 (now Ginza 8-chome) as Japan\u2019s first \u201csoda fountain,\u201d selling soda water and ice cream. It was renovated in 1928 as the \u201cShiseido Ice Cream Parlour,\u201d becoming a restaurant offering authentic Western cuisine. The current name was adopted in 1954.<\/p>\n\n
