It began in the Meiji era as an antique shop in Chuo Ward, Tokyo. After the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923, the shop moved to its current location on Sakurada Street in Toranomon, Minato Ward, and began specializing mainly in swords.<\/p>\n\n
