The founder, Takunosuke Yamada, trained at a lacquerware shop in Kyoto and founded “Yamada Lacquerware Store” in Tokyo Nihonbashi in Taisho 8 (1919).At that time, Tokyo had many practical and rough lacquerware, and it is said he founded the store to spread the charm of Kyoto lacquerware.In Heisei 6 (1994), the third generation moved the store to Tokyo Daikanyama to let younger people see lacquerware and to propose a lifestyle through it.<\/p>\n\n
