This product was created in response to regular customers asking for a Japanese sweet that would last a bit longer.Its appearance, with the monaka split open in the middle and plenty of bean paste spilling out, along with its unique Ch\u016bshingura-themed name, attracted much attention. Today, it has become Shinsh\u014dd\u014d\u2019s signature item, also known as a gift to bring when making an apology.<\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, because the shop\u2019s former location was connected to Ch\u016bshingura and the owner himself is a big fan, there are many items that appeal to history lovers, such as \u201cGishi Y\u014dkan\u201d depicting the Forty-seven R\u014dnin in warrior-style illustrations, and \u201cJindaiko Dorayaki.\u201dThe illustration of the Forty-seven R\u014dnin that appears on the roll screen at the storefront after closing is also worth seeing.<\/p>\n\n<p>While cherishing the traditions passed down since its founding, the shop continues to pursue even greater taste through new ideas.With the spirit of \u201cchanging tradition to carry it forward,\u201d Shinsh\u014dd\u014d\u2019s Japanese sweets will continue to evolve.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">History<\/h3>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"507\" height=\"336\" src=\"https:\/\/agatajapan.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/image-82.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-41784\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The shop was named \u201cShinsh\u014dd\u014d\u201d because the founder, Shinjiro Watanabe, who trained in Osaka, opened it in \u201cShin\u201dbashi in the first year of the Taish\u014d era (1912).The original shop stood on the former site of the Tamura clan\u2019s upper residence of the Ichinoseki Domain in Oshu (commonly known as the Tamura Residence). After three relocations due to the Great Kanto Earthquake, air raids during World War II, and the construction of Ring Road No. 2, the shop has been operating at its current location in Shimbashi
