unlined kimono(HITOE)

Japanese clothesclothing

A kimono without a lining such as “doura” or “hakkake. Basically, the kimono is made with only the outer fabric, but sometimes a white cloth called “ishikata” is attached from the waist down in order to reinforce the fabric and prevent transparency. It is worn in May and June (when the seasons change from winter to summer) and September (when the seasons change from summer to winter), but the time of year for wearing it tends to be longer due to the change in climate from the past.
