Torinoichi” is a festival held on the day of the rooster in November every year, originally as an agricultural festival to give thanks for the year’s harvest, mainly at shrines in the Kanto region whose company names include “otori” (giant bird) or “otori” (eagle).
In modern times, the festival is held as a festival to wish for good luck and prosperity in the New Year, and many people gather to buy rakes as good luck talismans. After the rakes have been sold, the Sanbonjime is a famous annual autumn event.
