A kimono tailored with a smooth lining such as habutae. It can be worn for a long period of time throughout the year. It used to be worn from October to May, but nowadays it can be worn any time of the year as long as it is not too hot. The lining attached to the body, sleeves, collar, and gusset (okumi) is called the “do-ri (lining of the body). The lining attached to the body, sleeves, collar, and gusset is called “doura”, and the lining attached from the waist to the hem is called “hakkake”. In general, the lining fabric is different from the outer fabric, especially the hakkake, which can be glimpsed when wearing a kimono, so it is fashionable to match the color of the outer fabric.
