A craftsman who specializes in doing dolls’ hair. They can also be called “doll hairdressers. The first step in the hair dressing process is to dig a groove at the hairline. Black dyed silk threads are glued to the grooves. Then, while combing the hair with a hot iron, the left and right sides of the hair are pulled back and pasted together to form the sideburns (binga, the left and right sides of the Japanese hair). After drying, the hair is then styled in the osuberakashi style (a hairdo in which the front hair is raised and the left and right hairs stick out widely.
