Dance freely! Bon Dancing just like a music festival
The “Sumida Kinshicho Kawachi Ondo Grand Bon Dance” is different from the usual Bon Odori dance around the yagura. Dancers dance freely to loud music played from a stage decorated with red lanterns in Tatekawa Water Park, located under the elevated Metropolitan Expressway No. 7 Komatsugawa Line. The song that attracts the most dancers is “Kinshicho Mambo. This is a dance that allows the dancers to move their bodies to the fullest. Although there is only one venue, it becomes so crowded that there is no room to dance. It is not a Bon Odori dance, but a music festival. This year, the festival will be held for the first time in three years, but on a smaller scale, with advance reservations required, and instead of live music, the dancing will be accompanied by a performance video of Kawachi Ondo, created especially for this occasion, using a large LED vision screen. There will also be a kitchen car area that does not require reservations.
