The No. 1 Curry Competition in Kanda, the City of Curry
The Kanda area is one of the leading curry towns in Japan with more than 400 curry restaurants. For the first time in three years, an event to determine the No. 1 curry restaurant in the Kanda area will be held. The rules are simple: buy one meal at the venue, get one voting ticket, and cast one vote for your favorite curry restaurant at the voting booth. This year, a total of 20 curry stores were nominated, including first-time entrants, “Indian Cuisine The Tandoor,” which is participating for the fifth time, and “Curry no Shimin Alba Akihabara Honten,” which has been in business for 50 years. From authentic Indian curry to soup curry, pork cutlet curry, curry with a hamburger steak on top, and other unique curry dishes, there is something for everyone.
