This exhibition will display retro and cute dolls from the Showa era, collected by doll and mascot artist Ayumi Uyama, whose creative activities are based on the theme of “reviving cute things from the Showa era for the modern age.
Ayumi Uyama is also known as a collector of girls’ goods and household items from the Showa period, and her collection of French dolls and posed dolls is the largest in Japan. The exhibition will also include catalogs and other items from the same period of “Yoshitoku,” a long-established doll shop that sponsors this event.
