Various animals appear! Spring Laugh Rakugo Party

A rakugo party sponsored by Bungeishunju. The theme of this year’s event is “Zoo. Animals such as horses, rats, and pigs appear in all the performances, including “Zoo,” a rakugo story in which a human wears fur and pretends to be a tiger. Through these animals, the audience will be able to experience the human condition, which is a mixture of sadness and joy.

The daytime program includes “Zoo” by Shoya Shunputei, “Nezumi” by Kenko Sanyutei, and “Ninkyo Nagare no Butatsugu den yori” by Tafuku Tamagawa; the evening program includes “Ma Oya” by Yumemaru Sanshotei, “Ninkyo Nagare no Butatsugu den yori” by San’ya Sanzo Yanagiya, and “Tanokyu” by Ogitatsu Irifunei. The afternoon session will be lively with a ronikyoku by the young and talented Taifuku, and is recommended for rakugo beginners. A talk corner is also scheduled.
