Comprehensive urban art festival held in various locations in Toshima City

Tokyo Art Festival 2022″ will be held for 102 days from September 1 to December 11, mainly in Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo.
Unique content includes “Scarlet Princess,” a Romanian re-creation based on “Sakurahime Higashi Bunsho” by Edo period kabuki author Tsuruya Nanboku, and an open-air play presentation of a re-creation of “Arashi no Oka” (Storm Hill).
The event will also feature performances of Nagasaki Shishimai (lion dance), Fujimoto Hayashi (musical performance), and other folk performing arts from Toshima Ward, as well as international collaborative productions using Zoom with artists from Asian countries, making it an enjoyable event for men and women of all ages.
