Yose – A casual Yose experience! Gorgeous lineup of rakugo storytellers and more!

This popular annual event is held at “Kita-topia” in Oji, Tokyo, and captures the atmosphere of Yose, a popular performance hall where rakugo, manzai, and other miscellaneous arts are performed. Each year, a diverse and splendid lineup of performers is assembled, ranging from well-known rakugo storytellers to fresh young talents and colorful characters such as manzai, comic storytellers, and impersonators.
In 2022, there will be a total of six performers, including Ichiba Yanagitei, the president of the Rakugo Association and a master of classical rakugo, Ichinosuke Shunputei, who is known as an ace rakugo performer on TV, and the Edo-ya Manekineko, who performs animal impersonations. Recommended for rakugo beginners who feel that going to a rakugo theater is a bit too much of a challenge.
Cast: Ichima Yanagitei, Ichinosuke Harufutei, Taifuku Tamagawa (ronikyoku), Manekineko Edoya (animal imitation),
Shoya Harufutei, Kotatsu Irifune-tei
