Sake Shop Kaku-uchi Fest TOKYO Sake Shop Spirit 2022 in Ueno Onshi Koen

Holding period

2022.06.24 〜 2022.06.26

Enjoy a selection of sake in a corner store style.

More and more sake stores are offering “kaku-uchi” (corner drinking), where customers can drink their purchased sake in a corner of the store. This event offers a selection of sake, shochu, wine, etc., chosen by sake stores that are well versed in sake, to be enjoyed and drunk freely in the venue. Visitors can compare drinks from long-established sake stores, such as Ise-U Honten, which has been located in Taito-ku since the Taisho era (1912-1926), as if they are ladder-climbing. Visitors can also taste unique sake such as “Amabuki Koisuru Banana Junmai Ginjo,” which has an aroma reminiscent of ripe bananas and a fruity, juicy flavor, and “Nagarei Shio Lemon Sour,” a shochu that goes well with meat.
At the gourmet booths, there will be a variety of dishes and snacks that go well with alcoholic beverages. On the special stage, there will be a rock-paper-scissors tournament, performances by unique musicians, and more. At the sake tasting corner, visitors can learn about the differences between different types of sake and shochu.
