On foot, by bus, on the water! Cherry blossom viewing by any means!
Held at Chidorigafuchi Ryokudo, a 700 meter promenade along Chidorigafuchi, a famous cherry blossom viewing spot. At night, some 260 cherry trees, including Someiyoshino, are illuminated with LED lights. In addition, the ward-run Chidorigafuchi boatyard will be open specially during the night so that visitors can view the cherry blossoms at night from the water of the moat.
The Marunouchi Direct Shuttle, a free shuttle bus connecting Marunouchi and Chidorigafuchi (Friday, March 31-Sunday, April 2), and the Marunouchi Shuttle Sakura Matsuri (Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26), a free shuttle bus that tours cherry blossom viewing spots in the ward, are also in special operation. Enjoy cherry blossom viewing in a variety of ways: on the greenway, by bus, and at night from the water.
