Beer Hut is an Italian restaurant operated by Ishikawa Brewery, which has been brewing sake since 1868.Located inside the brewery grounds, you can enjoy several types of craft beer such as “Tama no Megumi” and “TOKYO BLUES,” brewed in the adjacent beer factory, in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant offers dishes that pair well with craft beer made using natural water pumped from 150 meters underground, with plenty of local and seasonal ingredients. There are original dishes using shio-koji and sake lees, as well as daily pasta and pizza specials, making it a place you can enjoy every time you visit.
From the glass-walled terrace seats, you can view the beer kettles used in the Meiji era and enjoy the changing seasons, such as double cherry blossoms in spring and autumn foliage. At the open courtyard tables, you can dine with your pets.
On the same grounds, the direct sales shop “Sakera” sells sake “Tama Jiman” and various craft beers brewed at the brewery. On monthly Appreciation Days, brewery tours are available (reservation required).
History

In 1863, Kazuyoshi Ishikawa, the 13th head of the company, began brewing sake, and in 1881, a new brewery was built at the current location. Eventually, he started brewing beer in response to the growing demand for beer and wine during the Meiji period (1868-1912). However, the business was abandoned after two years, and the current beer business was restarted more than 100 years later, resulting in the creation of the local beer “Tama no Megumi” in 1998.
