Taisei Foods (Nakano Branch) was founded in Taisho 6 (1916), and today it mainly manufactures and sells Chinese noodles, operates company-owned shops, wholesales ramen ingredients, and runs support services for ramen shops, and it is a company with reliable noodle-making techniques backed by the nationally certified qualification “Seimen Ginoshi” approved by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, producing 50,000 servings per day with more than 150 types of noodles available at all times and having business relationships with over 700 clients nationwide, while also offering custom-made noodles created by certified noodle-making specialists in addition to its standard products.
At the company-owned shops, you can buy not only ramen noodles but also ramen ingredients jointly developed with partner companies and other noodles such as pasta, and since all ramen toppings can also be purchased, the shops are popular with people who want to make authentic ramen at home, and at one of the company-owned shops, “Men Ichiba Nakano Broadway,” you can purchase factory-direct professional-use noodles and also find an attached tasting spot where you can sample ramen and pasta in the store, and events linked to Noodle Day and special bargain time sales are also held.

History

The founder, Kojima Hagoro, established Taiseiken, a manufacturer and seller of Chinese-style noodles, in Okubo, Shinjuku Ward, in Taisho 6, and later introduced noodle-making machines and began supplying Chinese noodles to fellow food stall operators, and in Showa 21 the second generation, Torii Shingo, founded Taiseiken Co., Ltd. in Arai, Nakano Ward, where it began operations as a designated noodle distribution factory for Tokyo, and in Showa 64 the current president, Torii Norio, assumed the position of Representative Director and President, continuing to the present day.
