Ootaguro Park Light-up

Holding period

2022.11.25 〜 2022.12.04

A row of 100 year-old ginkgo trees are illuminated in majestic fashion.

This event is held every year at Ootaguro Park, a circular Japanese garden in Suginami Ward, Tokyo. The park closes at 4:30 p.m. and reopens at 5:00 p.m. to light up the park’s trees in time for the autumn foliage viewing season.
The highlight is the autumn foliage of ginkgo and maple trees. After passing through the main gate of Daitaguro Park, 27 ginkgo trees, each over 100 years old, line both sides of a 70-meter-long granite paved path. Further back, from a pavilion by the pond, visitors can enjoy a fantastic view of the bright red maple trees surrounding the pond and their reflections in the mirror. A concert will be held on the lawn. The concert will be held on Sunday, November 27 from 15:00 to 15:40 (postponed to December 4 in case of rain).
