Online fan appreciation event by comedians belonging to Rakugo Art Association

The Geikyo Rakugo Festival is a fan appreciation festival held once a year by a committee of comedians belonging to the Rakugo Art Association. The entire Geino Kadensha in Shinjuku is used as the venue for the festival, which attracts many fans of rakugo and other forms of entertainment every year, allowing them to interact directly with the performers. The appeal of the festival is that anyone, young or old, can enjoy the various geisha projects and hands-on classes for free. (Some events require a fee.)
However, following last year, this year, due to the prevention of the spread of the new coronavirus, the event will unfortunately be held again with a free online streaming from the YouTube channel of the Rakugo Art Association. This year, a sub-channel will be set up, with younger members taking the lead, and there will be plenty of planning. The centerpiece of the project is the “Net de Fun Fortune”. The main feature of the event will be the “Net de Fun Fortune”, in which postcards you send in will be turned into a lottery and you will be able to win wonderful prizes. In addition, 500 winners will receive a commemorative postcard signed by a Geikyo performer as a “Whose autograph will be delivered prize”.
There will also be a “Net de Fureai Hiroba” (Net de Fureai Hiroba), in which visitors can post messages and questions on Twitter with #Geikyo Rakurago Matsuri Fureai Hiroba, and the executive committee members will answer them directly on the day of the event.
