Rikugien weeping cherry tree

Holding period

Late March – early April 2022

The branches are filled with pretty flowers that look like a waterfall!

Rikugien Garden in Komagome is said to be one of the two largest gardens in Edo. It is popular as a garden where visitors can take a relaxing stroll with a hill from which to view the garden and a large pond. At the end of March, when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, you will be overwhelmed by the cascade of light red blossoms falling down from the branches. There is a second weeping cherry tree at the “Ginka-tei Ruins” within the park, which is also magnificent.
