The year 2022 is the year of the Shinkosai Festival, which is held once every four years! Carry the portable shrine and make it grand!

The annual festival held in mid-September at Nezu Shrine, a Shinto shrine in Tokyo’s Bunkyo Ward, is said to be one of the “Three Great Festivals of Edo” along with the Sanno Festival and the Kanda Festival.
The year 2022 is the year of the Shinko Festival, which is held once every four years, and a portable shrine procession will be held to carry the head shrine’s portable shrine, which was dedicated by Ienobu Tokugawa. In addition, local elementary school students will perform the “Urayasu no Mai” at the hall of worship from 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Gongen taiko drum performances and stalls will also be set up. Every year, the festival attracts as many as 30,000 people.
