A million-volume bargain in Jimbocho, the town of used books

The Kanda Used Book Festival will be held for the 62nd time this fall. This event attracts many book lovers from Japan and abroad as a typical autumn event.

During the event period, the antiquarian bookstore area mainly along Yasukuni Street will be lined with wagons and books. The appearance is just like a “corridor of one million books”. The books on the shelves are constantly changing, so if you find a book you like, you are recommended to buy it immediately!

Blue Sky Digging Market
Once a year, a bargain of a million books! A 500-meter “book corridor” surrounded by bookstores and bookshelves appears on the sidewalk of Yasukuni Street!

Special Sale of Selected Old Books
An exhibition and sale by volunteer antiquarian bookstores in Jimbocho.
