Kabuki began with a dance called “Kabuki Odori,” which means eccentric and bizarre.
The traditional performing arts, which have been handed down for more than 400 years since their establishment, incorporating the fads of the time and mixing with other performing arts and cultures, now represent the image of “Japan” to people around the world.
While the performance itself is, of course, a part of Kabuki culture, you can also enjoy looking for souvenirs and sampling delicious gourmet food during the “makuai” interval between the end of one act and the start of the next.
The “Kabuki-za Makuhari Market” will be held at the Haneda Airport Garden, a complex directly connected to Haneda Airport, the gateway to Japan.
Special stage performances by Kudanji Ichikawa IV and Ukon Kofuji II of the Kofuji School (only on November 23 (Thursday, national holiday)) will also be held, so please stop by.

This is a special stage by “Ku u X”, an entertainment group formed by Kabuki actor Ichikawa Kudanji and Japanese dancer Takafuji Ukon to convey traditional Japanese cultural entertainment.
