The 45th Chrysanthemum Festival will be held on the grounds of Yushima Tenjin Shrine.
The three “chrysanthemum dolls,” which are rare in Tokyo, this year are from scenes in the NHK historical drama “What to do, Ieyasu.
The festival is also held in a grand scale, with approximately 2,000 plants of classic chrysanthemums such as “Edo chrysanthemums” and “Tomoe Nishiki” displayed in the precincts of the shrine, centering on the “Dai-saku” (large chrysanthemums), “Dai-kake” (large hanging chrysanthemums), and “Bon-niwa” (tray garden).
