Enjoy the Hina Matsuri at the Hotel: Spring is in the air, and the dancing dolls will make your hearts flutter with excitement.

Holding period

2023.02.01 〜 2023.03.31

The lobby is brightly decorated with “tsurushi-dori,” a springtime tradition.

An event where visitors can enjoy Hinamatsuri decoration displays and special menus. This is an annual event, and 2023 will be the 19th time it has been held. The centerpiece of the exhibit is a display of about 4,500 tsuri-zukuri decorations made of hand-sewn handicrafts. The tsuri-zukuri made of old silk cloth decorated from a height of about 3 meters are a sight to behold. They will be shown together with tiered decorations of “Mataro dolls,” which have been certified by Kamigamo Shrine in Kyoto as the only authentic tradition of Mokumekomi dolls.

All of the ornaments are made of precious old silk fabrics such as kimonos that have been handed down from generation to generation and sewn stitch by stitch for this event. The crafts were hand-sewn by about 60 members of the Himawari Group, a group of handwork lovers who gathered at the urging of quilt artist Mitsuyo Matsuo and her friends.
In addition, each chef will offer a gorgeous special menu to celebrate Hinamatsuri at four other restaurants, mainly Japanese restaurants.
