53rd Holiday Promenade Yukata de Ginbura 2022

Holding period

2022.07.30

Gather in yukata at Ginza! Experience unique summer events such as Uchimizu (sprinkling water) and “Kirie de Hanabi” (fireworks with paper cutouts)!

The “Yukata de Ginbura” event held around Ginza-dori started in 2007 with the aim of encouraging people to come to Ginza wearing yukata and enjoy the cooler weather.
This year’s “Yukata de Ginbura” will be held for the first time in three years, and various events will be held around Ginza-dori and at commercial facilities.
At 3:30 p.m., water will be sprinkled simultaneously on Ginza-dori to the accompaniment of taiko drums, creating a cool breeze in the pedestrian zone.

The “Photo Panel Exhibition” will display retro photos of Ginza in the Showa period. At the “Fireworks with Paper Cutouts” booth, visitors will paste paper cutouts of fireworks onto a large nightscape of Ginza, creating a scene that looks as if fireworks are shooting up in Ginza.
A Showa-retro themed photo booth will also be set up, so be sure to take a commemorative photo.
Events will also be held at GINZA SIX, Matsuya Ginza, UNIQLO Ginza, and UNIQLO TOKYO. Be sure to visit them in yukata to enjoy Ginza in summer.
