Experience the traditional crafts of Ota Ward close at hand! Live music and tea ceremony

The “2nd Ota City Traditional Craft Exhibition” is a demonstration and workshop event aimed to familiarize visitors with the traditional crafts of Ota City. Under the theme of “You can meet Ota’s handicrafts here,” about 20 craftspeople will be divided into booths to give demonstrations. For example, a Japanese dressmaker will demonstrate “Otoko Tailoring,” in which he tailors a garment by sitting on the floor and using his feet, a computerized shinobue flute tuning demonstration, and a demonstration of artwork drawn freehand with a single ballpoint pen without any preliminary drawings.
In addition to special exhibits and sales of artworks, the exhibition will also feature sales of daily necessities such as fabric products and stationery that utilize traditional craft skills. In addition, workshops will be held where visitors can easily try their hand at making bamboo straps and wooden robots. In addition, a special live performance of traditional arts will be held on a special stage, inviting Kotoshu Noritsuke, a storyteller, Yuki Tosha, a calligrapher, Neno-iro, a shamisen player, and Yawata Mutsuhayashiren, a lion dance and shamisen player, who will perform live.
