History

The store began in 1910 (Meiji 43) in Kagomachi (now Koishikawa, Bunkyo Ward) as a high-class fruit shop, and the current Dogenzaka location opened in 1935 (Showa 10).In the next year, 1936 (Showa 11), they opened a fruit parlor focusing on fruit dishes.In 1976 (Showa 51), they opened a store in Odakyu Department Store Machida and have continued to offer top-quality fruits.(The photo shows the store in the late 1940s–1950s.)
