~Craft beers from all over Japan made with hops grown in Japan can be enjoyed! ~ Craft Beer

Craft Beer Japan Hop Fest 2023″ is a continuation of the “Fresh Hop Fest” held until last year, but with the aim of making Japanese hops more familiar to the public. The name of the event has been changed to “Craft Beer Japan Hop Fest. Through these activities, we will promote craft beer, revitalize the beer market, and boost the Japanese hop industry, as well as enhance the appeal of Japanese hops.

In conjunction with the festival, SVB will offer an opportunity to experience the appeal of beers made with Japanese hops at its stores. SPRING VALLEY JAPAN ALE , brewed with a portion of Japanese hops, will be available at both the Tokyo and Kyoto stores from Monday, October 2, and the “Japan Hop Garden” will be held from Monday, October 2 to Thursday, November 30, 2012. The “Japan Hop Garden” will be held from October 2 (Mon.) through November 30 (Thu.). The Tokyo store will release “Fresh Hop – Best Field IBUKI” brewed with Japanese hop “IBUKI” on Friday, October 13, and the Kyoto store will release “Fresh Hop – Kyoto Yosano” brewed with Japanese hop “Kyoto Yosano” on Friday, October 13. The Kyoto store will release “Fresh Hop – Kyoto Yosano”.

Kirin Brewery began experimental cultivation of hops in Japan 100 years ago, and has promoted efforts to cultivate hops produced in Japan. However, due to the aging of growers and lack of successors, Japanese hop production has declined significantly from its peak. In response to these social issues, Kirin Brewery is using some Japanese hops in its craft beer brand SPRING VALLEY, and SVB is also using Japanese hops in store-only products, and is offering the appeal of Japanese hops to customers through its products.
In addition, Ichiban Shibori Torrette Hop Draft Beer (limited time only), which uses fresh hops harvested this year in Tono City, Iwate Prefecture, one of the largest hop production areas in Japan and the home of beer, will be released nationwide on Tuesday, November 7, 2012. By conveying to customers the delicious taste of beer made with Japanese hops through a variety of products, we aim to contribute to the establishment of sustainable hop-growing regions.

Through this festival and event, we will collaborate to create an exciting future for beer together with our customers, and develop activities that will lead to the discovery of various ways to enjoy craft beer. We will continue our efforts to contribute to the growth of the craft beer category as a whole and to make beer more appealing and to revitalize the market.
