History

In Genji 1 (1864), the first generation, Tokunosuke Machida, founded the store at its current location as a thread merchant mainly handling silk threads.Despite hardships such as the Great Kanto Earthquake and air raids during the Pacific War that burned down the store, it was rebuilt each time.As a thread and cord specialty store with advanced skills and extensive knowledge, it remains widely loved to this day.
