In Hina dolls, they are considered to be the guards of O’ura-sama, and they hold bows and arrows in their hands. Some say that they are modeled after the right and left ministers. The two are of different ages. The elderly man on the right, in sober costume, is the attendant of the female doll. The young zuijin on the left, dressed in flashy costumes, is of good physique and follows the male dolls.
