Unosuke Miyamoto Shoten] “Katsugi Oke & Fuse Taiko Ensemble” and “Odaiko Class” workshop on Saturday, June 24, 2012

Registration is now open for the June 24 workshop led by Katsuji Kondo (subject to eligibility requirements).

There are two types of workshops: the “Katsugi Oke & Fuse Taiko Ensemble Class” teaches the basics of katsugi oke taiko and fuse taiko (shimedaiko, okeshimedaiko, nagato taiko) and wadaiko ensemble, while the “Odaiko Class” is a fun way to learn the basics and how to play the drums to the phrases.

The instructor will be Katsuji Kondo, a taiko player and instructor who was involved in the founding of the professional taiko drumming group “Kodo. Experience the luxury of learning from a professional while listening to first-rate taiko drumming!
