Japanese rice wine

Rice used to make sake, also called sake brewing rice. Sake is made from rice that is suitable for sake brewing, as well as rice used for food (common rice). It is said that rice with a large heart white, low protein and fat content, and large and tough grains are suitable for sake. More than 100 varieties of sake rice have been registered, including well-known varieties such as Yamada-Nishiki, Gohyakumangoku, and Omachi.
